چکیده

Primary mesotheliomas are rare tumours derived from the mesothelial cells of major serous cavities. They most commonly occur in the pleural cavity, but in recent years the incidence of peritoneal mesothelioma has been increasing. The prognosis for these tumours is generally poor, death normally occurring within one year of diagnosis, but can be improved by earlier diagnosis and aggressive management 1.
